The 2025 SASPTA Annual Conference was held from March 10th – 13th at the world-famous Peabody Hotel in historic downtown Memphis, Tennessee, “home of the blues”. This year’s attending members included valuation experts from Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. This was the first conference attended by the newly welcomed Texas!
Attendees were welcomed to the historic town by the Shelby County Assessor Melvin Burgess. Guest speakers included Ken Eriksen, Polaris Analytics and Consulting; Toby Reese, Kroll; Josh Cupit, Colonial Pipeline; John Hughes, AT&T; Greg Wood, Ryan; Cory Gruntz, Entergy; and Dawn Kelliher, Arkansas Public Service Commission.
The event was highlighted by a tour of the FedEx Headquarters and World Hub, the largest facility in the FedEx network servicing 220 countries worldwide and home to their pilot training center.
